3 young leeks, trimmed, 12 in. long
boiling salted water
butter, melted, to taste


Blanch leeks in boiling water; refresh. Cut in half lengthwise; trim green ends to form points. Lay in glass dish; brush with butter. Cover with plastic wrap. Microwave on high for 45 seconds or until heated.
