Prosciutto and Melon

Ingredients:

8 thin slices Italian prosciutto
1 ripe melon, any kind except watermelon
freshly ground pepper


Instructions:

Detach melon from the rind and cut into wedges. Arrange the prosciutto over the top of the melon. Or, if you prefer, roll the prosciutto into paper-thin rolls and serve 2 with each slice of melon. Serve with freshly ground pepper. NOTE: If Italian prosciutto not available, substitute Virginia or country ham, sliced in same way. If melon is out of season, substitute pears, figs or even avocado.
